Hey, what’s up?
I know what you’re thinking, "what’s up with the blog?" Well, we’ve been working on some side stuff. The day Facebook announced that it was putting out an API, both Tawin and I got working on applications for it.
Tawin finished his a few days ago. It’s called lickuacious, and people like it. It’s getting over a 100 unique hits a day, and even got a brief mention on Mashable. So go play around with it. Don’t have a Facebook account? Shame. Well, here’s the rundown: it’s an application that ranks your friends based on the number of posts on their wall. The more posts, the higher the rank. Here, have some screenshots.

For my application, I decided to create a SingleStatus clone. For those of you not in the know, SingleStatus (before it got shut down by MySpace) let you create a list of your friends and notified you when they became single. Unoriginal, I know. It was supposed to be a quick project so I could play around with the API, but I ended up not being able to do it because the API wouldn’t let me get a user’s relationship status :( Luckily, Facebook released an updated API last night that fixes the problem, so I’m going to work on it this weekend. I’ll post again when I’m done.
In OC Food Review related news, according to Alexa, we’re beating Let’s Eat OC in reach and page views. Looks like they’re down for the count. Our next target is Yelp (no link love). Thanks to everyone for adding restaurants, writing reviews, and telling their friends. Let’s keep it up. We’ll be adding new features in the next few weeks.
